Who We Are
Timbers Soccer Club is a registered Colorado non-profit organization and federally designated 501(c)3. We have big goals, and we rely upon partnerships and donations of time, money, and services to see them realized.
Our current near-term goals are:
Create a space for competitive and affordable soccer here in CO.
Improve and support the overall structure of amateur soccer within the US but CO more specifically.
Our absolutely mad, long-term goals include:
Create a permanent, physical home for the club that also serves as place for the community to gather. A place where children are free to play soccer without having to squeeze through a locked gate or scale a high fence.
Overall, we’re just players, fans, and a few weirdos who, for some strange reason, looked at the current state of soccer in Colorado and thought, “Let’s try something different.”
Born out of love for the game, a desire to give back, frustration with how other local clubs operated, and a general disdain for pay-to-play models: Timbers Soccer Club
Yes, the team is named after a dog, and we have no affiliation with that other club.
Club Targets
As a club, we deeply value our community and treasure the connections we have established and will continue to forge within it. Working hand in hand with our partners, we are committed to making a positive difference and actively contributing to the well-being of our community. In the coming years, we aspire to strengthen our role as a trusted partner within the community by focusing on three key goals.
Support our community: As a club, we know that our community is bigger than ourselves. While we look to have the community help build us, we know that we also need to do our part and support our community. Together, we want to create opportunities with our that engage the community through events, gatherings and soccer clinics.
Create a sustainable structure: As a new club, we look to create a structure that will be sustainable for years to come. By fostering strong community relationships and engaging in socially responsible initiatives, we hope that we can contribute to the overall sustainability and positive impact of the soccer club.
Support player development: This spring (24), we are expanding our club by creating a competitive women's team. Additionally in the future, we look to grow into a youth academy. For our youth programing, we want to fight the pay to play model and offer free to play opportunities for athletes and their families. We look to develop talent and not price out players wanting to improve and play at a high level. This spring, we will start providing high school players development opportunities within our men’s and women’s teams.
